Hubert (Jean Reno) is a police inspector who receives a telephone call from Japan one day informing him that Miko (Yuki Sakai), the love of his life who disappeared nearly 20 years ago, has died under strange circumstances. She hasn't forgotten him -- in fact, she's named him executor of her will. But what Hubert soon discovers is that he's been saddled with a handful of problems -- and a daughter (Ryoko Hirosue) he never knew he had!
