The Suicide Song (Densen Uta)

Investigating an urban legend called the "Densen Uta" -- a melody that inspires suicidal tendencies in whoever sings it -- tabloid columnist Riku (Ryuhei Matsuda) teams with Anzu (Yuko Oshima), a high schooler who recently lost a friend to suicide. When more girls start killing themselves, Riku and Anzu must act fast to end the deadly cycle in this eerie Japanese horror film, which also stars Atsuko Maeda as Anzu's unlucky classmate Kana.

1. WTH? Just...ugh! The movie, best I can figure, is a protest against the war in Iraq, except they really seem to be mad at the French Foreign Legion? Don't ask, I can't explain it any better than that...this theme, inexplicably, is combined with a supernatural song that causes you to kill yourself when you sing it? Life lesson from the movie, if someone throws themselves off of the princess castle tower at Disneyworld to save your life, say thanks...it will save you A LOT of trouble later on.
